The Summer CSA is a 12-week seasonal program running June through August, offering members a weekly box of peak-ripened produce harvested with care from our mountain farm. Designed for those who value freshness, sustainability, and local agriculture, the Summer CSA provides a delicious way to enjoy the best of the Sierra foothills while supporting small-scale farming.
What will weekly shares include?
Each weekly share features salad mix and microgreens. As the season progresses, shares will include herbs and mid-summer abundance with tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, peppers, and specialty varieties unique to our microclimate. By late August, boxes are full and flavorful, reflecting the richness of the season. Each share includes a brief newsletter, storage tips, and farm updates, giving members a closer connection to the land and the people who grow their food.
What is a CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a partnership between our farm and community members who commit to supporting us throughout the summer growing season. Instead of purchasing produce individually, members buy a “share” at the start of the season, providing us with upfront resources to plan, plant, and grow through the summer.
In return, members receive a weekly or bi-weekly share of produce grown on our farm. CSAs create a direct connection between eaters and the people who grow their food, fostering transparency, trust, and shared investment in local agriculture.
Specifically, produce from our farm grown from September to May supports local school nutrition programs. The Summer CSA model helps us remain financially stable while school is out, giving members access to high-quality, sustainably grown food. By purchasing a “share” of our Summer CSA you’re helping to support our Farm-to-School initiatives.

Shared Expectations and Terms - Please read!
-
No refunds for CSA Shares or deposits. We can transfer your CSA to another person or you can donate your box, but we cannot offer refunds or credits.
-
A "share" is a share of the weekly harvest of produce grown for the Summer CSA. We will make every effort to make shares of each item abundant– but we all understand that there are factors beyond our control such as weather, pest pressure, etc.
-
We are agreeing to grow your shares using sustainable methods. We do not use pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers that are harmful to the land. Whenever possible, inputs are listed by OMRI. (Organic Material Review Institute)
-
Farm produce will be “field washed” and not considered "ready to eat". It is the responsibility of the CSA member to wash vegetables before eating/cooking them.
-
Our produce is grown for taste and nutritional value, we are not grading vegetables on look alone. We think our veggies are beautiful, but they aren’t graded the same way as what you see in a supermarket.
-
We reserve the right to substitute items, as needed.
-
You agree to share with us your food preferences and allergies so that we can plan accordingly.
-
CSA members receiving home / work delivery will provide a cooler or designated place for their delivery.
-
CSA members are responsible for picking up their shares in a timely manner on the day of their pickup.
-
In the event you cannot receive your weekly share, you are responsible for making other arrangements for someone to receive it or pick it up.
-
Since we primarily grow vegetables, CSA members can expect their shares to be primarily vegetables. We will occasionally have fruit, we cannot guarantee it. Please see examples from our 2025 season to get an idea of what to expect.
-
Outside of allergies we can substitute no more than 1 item per week from your share.
-
When available, CSA members may substitute additional items if picking up at the farm stand.
