Our goal is to give you the skills and confidence to process chickens at home. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis class is perfect if you occasionally end up with an unexpected rooster in your flock, or if you’re interested in raising and processing your own meat birds. Home-raised chickens can be incredibly flavorful and are often far better than what you’ll find at the grocery store.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe’ll cover different types of chickens, equipment and supplies, humane dispatch methods, sanitation and food safety, and proper storage. We’ll demonstrate the entire process, from dispatch through preparing the chicken for the freezer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThen it’s your turn! We’ll work with you step-by-step as you process your own chicken.
